No, no, it is not the forum that is blocked. It is when trying to follow any links found inside posts. For example, trying to follow a webarchive link posted on the 1st page of this thread triggers uBlock Origin, resulting to something like this: gyazo.com/cba36bd8c1e2fa0533af593239b90e03I can still tell it to ignore the warning and go ahead though. Btw, I did not check links that point within the forum itself. I use uBlock Origin too and simply told uBO to add this forum to trusted website list, also for archive.org Click the ubo shield in your toolbar - then click power icon that appears to disable uBO for this website Now it's a trusted website so just refresh the page to have it work normally. Its confusing wording but you'll see uBO is still working when you visit other websites after. github.com/gorhill/uBlock/wiki/How-to-mark-a-web-site-as-trusted

We took 'retired' to be just a nice way of saying 'totally close down'... The reason for them closing it down was essentially financial, farcical as that essentially was since it would not cost much to continue maintaining it, essentially just the cost of the servers and one staff who could maintain it if the need very occasionally arose. Those of us administering the forums were volunteers and unpaid; as well all the advisers. If Alludo were to take on the extra Support staff to handle the load currently borne by the forums, it would cost them a packet, so we think that too is unlikely. But making the forums 'read only' would mean that the servers etc would be maintained. And Alludo has made it very clear it does not want that. For a billion-dollar company to claim they can't afford a small forum expense is truly penny-pinching at its extreme, scraping the bottom of the barrel to save a mere dollar. Having an unpaid staff member as an admin poses significant risks to their servers. It's relatively easy to compromise their servers with admin privileges on platforms like phpBB. This might have contributed to the forum's closure. While employing a paid staff member for admin would incur additional expenses, they'll soon realize that dealing with trivial inquiries such as "where can I locate the lasso tool?" is far more costly when handled by a paid employee!
