Hi clanger68 Yes I would hope that Corel development team provide a hotfix for this issue. However the Chinese New Year started on the 10th Feb, holidays last for 8 days or so after which things may progress. I hope.....

Hi clanger68 Yes I would hope that Corel development team provide a hotfix for this issue. However the Chinese New Year started on the 10th Feb, holidays last for 8 days or so after which things may progress. I hope..... The Chinese New Year (also known as the Lunar New Year) actually begins in Feb 9th, we call that day as "Chu Xi (除夕)", which means "the New Year's Eve" in English. Although in this year (2024), Chu Xi is not included in statutory holidays of Chinese Mainland, but many companies still take this day off as the New Year holiday. I remembered that VideoStudio 2023 was released in Feb 22 2023. If Corel did planed to release a new major version update of VideoStudio, I guess we will able to have a try in the following week. Honesty I have no more idea about the next big release of VideoStudio, but I am still waiting for a surprise for all VideoStudio users.

Hi @shinjo Kurumi, I just want to say thank you for your solution. I had the same problem as others and your ulmp4lib.dll swap worked for me. Thanks again!

I have same issue, and it is with sadness that reaching out tech support aint know a thing in the issue. They think is the graphic driver (NVIDIA RTX 3070), and the Motherboard's firmware. The way I suspect this crap it happened every time when Video Studio can't no longer create any more FOLDERs. I really think that's the issue. It seems like it ran out of buffer or something. So I reinstall VS2023, and It works again.
Below is the email they sent me, which I never replied back. "Thank you for contacting Corel Customer Support Services. My name is Johnson and I have been assigned to your ticket. Referring to your MSINFO32 report, it appears that your BIOS and display driver are out of date and therefore, you will be required to perform a full driver update. So, once you have updated all the above, I would request you to restart your machine and try again. Kindly let me know, how it goes.
Regards,

Hello. I found the same problem. If you have already written to support, you have to wait for the repair. SP2.

. So I reinstall VS2023, and It works again. Not all users have experienced this problem, I can say that re-installing the program did not cure this issue as the same file is used., at least for me. It is possible that you experienced a different problem that clearly re-installing fixed, and that is all that matters really

I have had a positive response from the Corel development team indicating that can replicate this problem. They are working on a hotfix which will be rolled out through Corel Support, hopefully ASAP....
For those of us that have reported this issue should get a response from support If you have not reported to Corel I would recommend you do so.

Pomohlo to!!! Zatiaľ som nenašiel žiadne negatívne zmeny. Odporúčam to aj ostatným. //Skôr ako začnete, urobte zálohu systému, ako to opísal Shinjo Kurumi, ja som to urobil až po skopírovaní záplaty do C:. Ešte raz ďakujem Shinjo Kurumi.//

For those who don't speak Czech/Slovak, here is a Google Translation:
Hello everyone. Big thanks to Shinjo Kurumi and Junior Member for the patch he made, I tried that too but no luck. Video rendering is fine now, the image doesn't tear, it plays smoothly. It helped!!! I haven't found any negative changes yet. I recommend it to others. //Before you start, make a system backup as described by Shinjo Kurumi, I did this after copying the patch to C:. Thank you again Shinjo Kurumi.//

The Corel developers have told us that this new hotfix should only be applied by those who have suffered from this problem. I, for instance, am someone who did not see the original problem and haven't experienced since then. So I will not be applying the hotfix. I would not like to think that applying it when you don't have the problem might cause new problems to arise.

The Corel VS 2023 hotfix seems to have worked for me as well, thankfully.
When I went to change the file name of ulmp4lib.dll I found there were two identical files that had been installed by the last update from corel.
I renamed both of these existing filenames, then pasted in the new hotfix file, restarted the program as instructed and that seems to have sorted out the juddering video issue.
Thank you all here for your posts and help.
- Andy
