For $30 I was able to "upgrade" to MMS 2024 Suite with proDAD Vitascene V5 Pro. The price of Vitascene alone was worth it for me. Using the plugin install, it also installed the OFX plugin too. So Vegas Pro and Resolve Studio (I don't have the free version) now have V5 Pro too.
You can use it in addition to VS. It edits the same way, has a lot of features, and the price at least for me, is unbeatable.

Thanks Tony -- I went to the site and also got the $29.99 price for an upgrade version of the Suite. Almost too good to be true. I especially wanted the Vitascene 5.0 also. Movie Studio itself is also a good NLE, though since it is a sort of baby brother to Vegas, and I have Vegas 21, I am not sure that I will be using MMS itself all that much.

Ken Berry I bought it sort of hoping that Vitascene would install in other software besides Magix. If you install it from within Magix and activate it, there will be only Magix and OFX listed as optional installs. But if you download this SETUP file and run it, you then activate it in MMS>Effects>proDAD. Installing the setup file gave me OFX, Magix, Pinnacle Studio 26 as options to install. So I did. And Vitascene is now in those editing software. Like you, I doubt if I will use the editing software. But to get Vitascene at that price, well, I couldn't pass that up.
I bought it initially hoping that it would install in other software that I use. And if it didn't, oh well, no big loss. But it did and I am quite happy about it.

I bought it with my Australian credit card, and it shows as A$46.08 so a little more than your $39.99...
Tony -- As far as I can see, Vitascene 5 only comes as a plugin for Movie Studio i.e. not standalone. If you have the same, then not as much use as I originally thought.
I also see in the advertising blurb that the Suite is also supposed to come with proDAD Hide (though only a 1 year licence) and proDAD Defishr. I'm not interested in Hide (or any other licensed subscriptions). But by the sounds of it Defishr would be useful to my 360 photography/video work. Any idea how to get them as they don't appear to be listed within Movie Studio effects.
EDIT: Sorry Tony I got way behind as I was trying to install things. I can't seem to get that install link for Vitascene to work for me. Where did you find the download file?

Never mind Tony. I tracked it down on the proDAD website, downloaded and installed it. And was surprised and pleased that not only does it open as a stand-alone, but it also installed as a pluin not only on Magix Movie Studio, but all my installed Corel VS programs plus Pinnacle Studio! So I'm now very pleased indeed. Activated it again no problem...

So you think it's a worthwhile investment Ken, I obtained a full standalone version of Hide 1.5 with Magix Movie Edit Premium 2021,

The last Movie Edit I had was 2019. I think Hide was called Erazr or something similar at that time... In any case, I'm not interested in that one, just Defishr. But yes, just to get Vitascene, admittedly with a bit of fiddling to get the stand-alone version, and have the plugin also installed in most of my NLEs, is a definite plus for me, and easily worth the $46 I paid...
I have asked proDAD support and Magix about Defishr.

Thanks Ken, if you had Movie Edit Premium 2019 that also came with ProDAD ReSpeedr 1.0 standalone, which is a far superior slow Motion and time-lapse video program to anything the other NLE's have to offer -

Yes, and I still have Respeedr and use it from time to time as needed. And I agree that it a particularly good and very useful program. I have just looked at my records and see that in fact I bought the stand-alone version in 2013, but it was only 32 bit. So I upgraded that to the 64 bit version a few years later and before it came with VS.

Thanks tonyp , This is a great offer from Magix so I took advantage of the $30 CDN upgrade. When I installed proDAD via MMS2024, unlike Tony, it only offered me two checkmarks; OFX and Magix. After installation, I checked my video editors and Vitascene 5 was installed on Vegas Pro and my free version of Davinci Resolve. Unfortunately, it did not install on Pinnacle or Videostudio. Because the installation process did not provide a proDAD installer stub,(or at least I could not find it) I wasn't sure how I would reinstall the software if I needed to. So I went to the proDAD website and created an account. Having an account allows you to download software updates and free trials. I downloaded the free trial of Vitascene 5 and installed it. It was the same one tonyp linked above. Like Ken Berry , to my surprise there were more checkmarks which included Videostudio and Pinnacle. After installation I discovered that my Videostudio Vitascene 4 plugin was replaced by version 5 and Pinnacle also had Vitascene 5. I checked to see if the plugins were only a trial and applied a watermark but they were clean. The installation also creates a stand alone version of Vitascene. Now that is a deal! If forum members are looking for an editor to supplement Videostudio, Magix Movie Studio 2024 would be an excellent choice. The user interface is practically identical and the timeline editing structure is the same as Videostudio where the overlay tracks are under the main video. Therefore, the learning curve will be much shorter than say Davinci Resolve. In fact Magix should take advantage of Alludo's silence and make the special $30 upgrade offer to all Videostudio owners. Ken Berry, let us know how you go with proDAD Defishr. I am also interested in that program for my action cameras

I have Respeedr and Defishr, just never used them. When I decided to install fresh Win11 Pro, I didn't install them. But they are sitting on my Win10 Pro drive if needed. I thought about Hide, but some of the results weren't that great. Especially if viewed on a large TV. With Mocha Vegas, while more complex to use will get stellar results in "hiding" something. I've been able to do slow motion with great success in both Pinnacle and Videostudio, but rarely do I use it. I'll shoot at a high frame rate and slow down that way. With Vegas Pro and Resolve, I can do this inside the program, also with great results. If anyone has an old copy of Magix, the upgrade will be well worth it. You get Vitascene V5 Pro for $30, and they throw in a really nice editing software too!!!

For anyone who purchased Magix Movie Studio (Platinum or Suite) you have access to a lot of features and content that you may find useful in Video Studio. Be sure to download and install the extra content when asked or go to Help, Install Extra Content.
The last one on the list is Magix Travel Maps. Definitely download this and try it. You can make an animated route on a map using OpenStreetMap Standard, ESRI Maps (Standard, Topo, Satellite, Geographic), included map images or your own map or any image that you want (and have). It can be opened from within Movie Studio or from the shortcut on the desktop. It's actually a stand-alone program. Uncheck the box at the end to send the file to the Movie Studio, just send it your your hard drive and open it in Video Studio. Change the Resolution on the Finish page to FullHD or 4K. Let me know if you have questions.
Here are 2 simple examples, the first on a standard map, the second on an image.
There are more and newer features than those in the above videos.
As for content, Movie Studio contains a lot of audio files, music, loops and sound fx, images and video clips that you can search for and copy elsewhere to be used in Video Studio. Just avoid any videos that have the extension mxv, as that is a Magix proprietary format (you can import these into Movie Studio and export to MP4 for use elsewhere). Keep in mind that the content is for non-commercial use.
There are Movie and Editing Templates that have interesting content, particularly the music. These are zipped up. You have to open in Movie Studio the one that you want and a folder gets created with subfolders and the content - like the music files of different durations.

Tony -- did you get Defishr with some earlier Magix download, or with the current Movie Studio 2024 Suite? If the latter, how did it come to you -- as a separate download or part of the Suite installation?

hi Ken Berry I did some digging and I think what you are referring to is a separate but simultaneous offer to the $30 upgrade deal. This one does not include Vitascene V5 and is more expensive. MMS2024 with Defishr and HideJCBrown , thanks for the videos. Magix Travel Maps is just another bonus from this fantastic deal! Your video on the alternative use of the mapping program was very creative. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Post Edit; actually Ken Berry, this offer does include Vitascene V5! This is very confusing but I suspect the increased price covers the cost of Defisher and Hide.
