I'm trying to install VS2023, on my new laptop (see system specs below). Unfortunately once the installation is complete and I try to run the software (so that it registers with the Alludo server) I always get the following error: "Can't reach this page." See screenshot. As a test, I tried installing the software on an old Windows 10 laptop with success! Therefore, there is something wrong at my end. I have contacted Alludo Support but they have yet to respond regarding this issue. Any suggestions would be appreciated. ![]()

Could be a browser issue, Can you try changing your default browser

Hi robertoz, Thanks for your suggestion. I originally was using Microsoft Edge but installed Chrome and made it my default browser; same result. I then installed Firefox and made it my default browser and it still didn't work. So I think we can rule out browsers being the culprit.

On the facts presented, it looks more like an OS issue than the browser. To isolate it a bit further; 1. Is the failing win11 installation the original OS on a really new laptop, or was it on an new machine having an upgrade from a prior windows (eg 10) installation? 2. Does the failing machine work satisfactorily when connecting to other websites with the browsers you have tried?

Hi davidk, 1. A really new laptop; purchased last Boxing day. OS was Win11 Home which I upgraded to Win11 Pro. 2. No issues with the browsers since I have been using the machine. I have VS2021 Pro, which is suppose to be compatible with Win11 so my next test is to see if that installs on the system. I'll report my findings.

So I successfully installed VS2021 Pro - without any issues. And I learned something in the process. When the system completes the installation. It takes you to a "Thankyou" web page. I copied the path to this webpage which upon reviewing found it very interesting. Its not a simple path. Within it, contains the product that you purchased, your serial number, the language you chose etc.
So for some reason, when I install VS2023 Ultimate, the system cannot generate this path. But if I remember correctly, VS2023 has a slightly different process to VS2021. Before the Thankyou web page is generated, a pop up box appears requesting your Account details. After accepting your details, the system is live. This popup box does not appear in this instance. Only the error message.

Hi Candive Something in the back of my mind says this is a known issue, at least for Support. I think the level 2 guy Auz did mention this with a fix of some type. I will do a search to see if i can find those details. Unfortunately Auz was a victim of Alludo rebranding and no longer employed. Post Updated There was a problem with the panel being garbled, this was fixed by deleting the messages This KB post refers VideoStudio - Login screen after install is garbledI would like to also access your %temp% to delete the entries there, unless you have a cleanup app that would do the job. There is also a Reset folder that you can delete, although I think it is created on first launch, and you have not got that far. C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro (x64)\26.0 Delete or rename the 26.0 folder. I’ll keep looking….. Ok Officially we are only allowed to install Video Studio on one device, (EULA) how Alludo police this is another matter. However the way we register the program has been updated over the past versions. If you go to your Corel account you can view your registered programs and their serial numbers. There is also an option for Product Status and Subscriptions, I believe this panel may be relatively new, as of VS 2022 So here I see Video Studio 2023 installed on two devices although I had no problems in doing that. If you have more then maybe removing those from the older PC may help.

Hi Trevor, Clearing the messages as suggested by the Corel Knowledge Base did the tick! Although in my case the screen wasn't garbled; it just produced the error message. The result was the same. VS2023 is now installed. VideoStudio - Login screen after install is garbled
Trevor, thanks for your assistance.
