Possible. Just strange to find my post quoted on this board in a language I don't understand. :-)

Anyone here know if PSP 2023 will be the last version? I have been wondering since no new version came out last year and now the forums will be closed next week. I am guessing that these are not the strategy of a company that has long term plans for the future... View AttachmentSomebody suggested that Alludo might look for buyers for the code and hire some of the team back. That could breathe new life into PSP. It's a probability, I suppose. Either way, doesn't look like a new version is on the horizon this year. Maybe next?

Hello everyone. I don't know what you see in PSP, I still use Ulead Photoimpact X3. It is a simple smart and powerful photo editing tool… Yup, can you make a few screenshots, please? And put it somewhere, like postimages.org/

For those not understanding, Radim was quoted as saying "Yes, can you take some screenshots please? And put it somewhere like postimages.org/"

Going the subscription route would be suicidal in my opinion (for one thing, every review about PSP emphasizes on its affordable one-time-pay as a major pro compared to Photoshop). However, even with its current one-time-pay model things don't look pretty, mostly due to at least one major competitor that is even more affordable and way more up to date (not sure if i can name it).
My guts tell me psp 2023 was the end, though my heart still hopes Alludo works on or plans to modernize and revive it at some point.

Please name the competitor. We are no longer bound by the old Corel/Alludo rules relating to competing programs, and I am sure people would be interested in your opinion. I certainly am. even if I still use PSP on a daily basis.

Hello Ken,
I was talking about Affinity Photo. If my memory serves me well, a few years back they did a full (or almost full) code re-write of their 3 main programs (photo, designer and publisher) and they are now pretty much considered by many the absolute best Adobe alternative. Plenty of users support too, tutorials included on youtube, etc.
I'm also still using PSP as my primary photo editing tool, just because I'm fluent in it (thus doing things faster with it), and i have a ton of saved .psp files, but the truth is I don't really see why most people starting now should prefer PsP over AP (let alone Ps).

I agree regarding Affinity. On1 isn't too shabby either.

I have never used Affinity, but I am just starting with ON1. I got their free version a few weeks ago, and I have to say I am impressed so far. And that includes their follow-up...

I'll have to check out ON1. My top 5 choices for affordable Adobe alternatives that I tested last year that others might want to try? Krita, Darktable, Luminar 4, Affinity Photo (cloud-based?), Capture One Pro, Inpixio Photo Studio I really liked Krita until I found I couldn't print anything from it.
