WHEN I CLOSE THIS ERROR, IT COMPLETELY SHUTS PROGRAM DOWN, THREE TIMES IN A ROW. I SAVED AS .WMF FILE CALLED IT UP AND HAD NO PROBLEM WITH IT. MY QUESTION TO ANYONE, ANY IDEA WHAT CAUSES THIS ERROR? Microsoft is apparently well aware of this type of error, and it is clearly not a problem associated only with PSP. A simple Google search reveals that it comes up in a fairy wide variety of programs. I found a reference to the 'pure virtual function call' mentioned in your screenshot: see learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/error-messages/tool-errors/c-runtime-error-r6025?view=msvc-170 However, while the things it suggests you do when encountering it seem to me to be rather simplistic, its advice to programmers is, frankly, totally meaningless to me and, I suspect, also to anyone else who is not a programmer! Another quite recent article attributes this error to something going on in the Visual C++ platform: www.diskinternals.com/partition-recovery/runtime-error-r6025/#:~:text=The%20message%20%E2%80%9Cruntime%20error%20r6025,the%20lack%20of%20program%20components. It also lists 4 steps you can take which might correct the error, though again they seem to me to be a list "rounding up the usual suspects". Another MS tech forum for yet another app lists the same things plus a couple more: techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/windows-11/how-to-fix-quick-books-runtime-error-r6025-after-update/m-p/4172529Since you get this error with PSP 2020, I would be checking to make sure that your version has all available updates installed. I would also be thinking about reinstalling PSP 2020 or using the Repair function when you start the reinstallation process. And of course check that your Windows Update function is not showing any available updates for Visual C++.

Could you post the pspimage file here?

As noted by Ken it's a fairly generic error related to the C++ programming language. So it doesn't offer much to go off of to know why PSP experienced the error.
As Jeanluc requested, if you can upload the PSPimage file here or to a cloud storage (Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, etc.) so we can test it that would be best.
My big question is this, if you can export to WMF and reopen it without error. What happens if you reopen the WMF file and save out as PSPImage again? Does it still do the same? How did you originally create the image?
