Hi Everyone
I have Video Studio Ultimate 2023 and so far its been no problem.
Yesterday I the program had stability issues whilst rendering, so I did a clean install using the removal tool
And opened up the program and project and went to render when it does but doesn't export the file if you know what I mean.
Any ideas what I can do please?
Cheers Rob

There should be 2 locations where your rendered video should be, The file location that you set on the Share Screen and the Edit Screen Library.
Are you saying that the render of your video completes with the message "The file has been rendered successfully" but does not display in either location

Hi thanks for the response
I don't get the message " The File has been rendered successfully"
As I save this file in a different location.

If you don't get that message, irrespective of where you are saving to, then your video has not rendered, also a copy is always placed in the Edit Screen Library

robcharles1981Maybe a silly question but do you have enough space on your hard drive? Just to rule out that exporting in general is not a problem, create a new project, load a video clip and export. Does it work?

Does it work? I got loads of space, tried saving the project on file to a different location still the same result, thought it maybe the graphics driver so I went back to the previous one still the same deal.

robcharles1981Just so I understand you correctly, you can not Share/Export any project you have created or is it one particular project you can not export?

This is a particular project.

If the problem only affects 1 particular project, that would indicate an issue somewhere along the timeline. When you render, does the Rendering Complete bar get to 100%, if not, then you would need to review the timeline at that point, could be a corrupt transition, or a clip which VS can not identify

If you’re unable to export a project as a video in VideoStudio, it might be helpful to identify the differences between this project and others that you’ve been able to export successfully.
For instance, there could be compatibility issues with videos shot on a new camera or downloaded video files that you’ve never used before. In such cases, converting the videos to a generic MP4 format using tools like Xmedia Recode might help.
The phrase “no message is displayed” is not clear enough. For example, it’s unclear whether VideoStudio abruptly shuts down during the export process without any message, or if the export progress halts at a certain percentage, or if the application freezes and you’re forced to terminate it.
If the encoding process consistently stops at a specific time or percentage and then crashes, it’s highly likely that there’s an issue with the part of the project being encoded at that time.
Keeping the preview screen on all the time can prolong the export process, so it might be a good idea to turn on the preview screen only when you anticipate a crash, to identify which scene is causing the problem. For example, overlaying multiple complex transitions can put too much load on the system. Also, crossfading songs created with the automatic music creation feature might cause errors.
Using the Smart Package to gather all your materials in one place can simplify the path to your materials, which might increase the chances of successful encoding. Also, for non-English-speaking users, changing the filenames of your materials and program files to English might help avoid issues.
You might also want to try using a different rendering engine. If you have the hardware encoder enabled, try disabling it, or vice versa. If you’re encountering errors with MP4 H.265, try switching to H.264, or try exporting in a different format like MPEG2. The materials used in your project might be incompatible with the encoder.
If you have security software enabled, try turning off background security checks while idling. Unauthorized CPU usage while you’re not operating the system might cause errors. Please be aware of this.

This is a particular project. It sounds like you're experiencing an issue that has plagued VS years, namely, at times VS simply stops rendering and silently crashes. This is normally caused by a video clip that VS can't handle when rendering and/or a filter applied to a video clip.
I'd suggest that you try to locate where render crashes by setting a Preview Range progressively longer until rendering fails at the point where the problem lies.
Sometimes one can just render a project in parts using the Preview Range and finally merging the parts together.

Yeah I had to reload a previous project file - mind boggles!

robcharles1981 , As a general rule for myself, as I build my project and it increases in complexity I tend to save versions; Holiday2023_01, Holiday2023_02, Holiday2023_03 etc. So if something fails I can go back to a previous working version. And once the project is completed, I delete all but the last project. Just a suggestion.
