Has anybody got a working copy of MuRa's Seamless Filters or can you help me get mine to work? I am using PSP X7 with 32 bits.
I get this error message:

I've moved your question to the PaintShop Pro section of the forum where hopefully you will get more answers.

FWIW I have just tried using this set of filters in the 32 bit version of PSP 2022 (the only 32 bit version I have installed). However, when trying to use it I too get exactly the same error message as pslane that it may not be installed correctly or may be missing files -- though it doesn't say what files. The only other files which came with all the .8bf files are text files explaining the effects achievable with them. I get the same message regardless of which Mu-Ra filter I choose.
So I am wondering there is some other Mu-Ra software require to control it like the KPT filters which I have also installed and which work fine after the KPT screen opens to show a preview of the filter chosen. Or is it only compatible with Photoshop -- though that would be strange even if they did come out in 1999...

I use a 32 bit PSP X7 and I use PSP X6 64 bit, also. Also use Photoshop but filters are very limited there unless you want to spend a lot of money. Just checked and I do have KPT5 in my files. Problem is I have forgotten how to use them! I do remember I used to use it to make fur. Anyway if you figure out what is causing the error message, let me know. I like using the Stripe of Cylinder.

Mura Seamless filters are Filter Factory filters. If you check the size they are 56kb and Filter Factory Filters are normally 56kb in size. Filter Factory filters require a dll to be added to Window's SysWOW64 folder. The file is Msvcrt10.dll. It works fine for me in PSPX but not in newer PSP 32 versions eg. I just checked in PSP 2021 32 bit and it didn't work. BUT if you Import into Filters Unlimited it should work fine in any 32 bit version. It does for me in PSP 2021 32 bit if I use it via FU. It also works fine for me in PSP 64 bit versions e.g. PSP 2023 64 bit when I use the Plugin Bridge. I open FU in the Plugin Bridge and then can use Mura Seamless filters and any other filters inside FU.

Thank you patara! I installed the file Msvcrt10.dl and MuRa Seamless Stripe of Cylinder is working. This has taken me a long time to remedy. I hope this thread helps someone else. This is just a quick example, not lined up correctly.

FWIW I installed that dll file too. I no longer got the error message in PSP 2021 x 32 bit, but a new screen of the chosen Mu-Ra filter appeared over my selected image, sat there a few seconds, and PSP then crashed. This was repeatable with other selected Mu-Ra filters. So this seems to confirm patara's finding that it might work in older versions of PSP, but not more recent ones.

Ken, I also got no error in PSP 2021 32 bit but when the filter opened the interface was blank and then PSP crashed. I tried twice and got the same result. Not sure at what PSP version it started giving problems but does work fine inside FU or in the old versions e.g. PSPX or in PSP 64bit inside the Plugin Bridge via FU.

Bit late with a reply, but MuRa Seamless doesn't work from PSP 2021 and 2022. However, MuRa Seamless is importable in Filters Unlimited and that still works in both PSP 2021 and 2022 32-bits. Also, I have copied the dll-files last used for Windows 10 into Windows 11. It will tell you if there is a newer version of that dll. I always go for the latest. But there are some that are no longer part of Windows. And they might be useful and won't hurt performance.
A lot of plugins stopped working with PSP 2021. Fans of the older plugins had to say goodbye when using this version and the later ones. I cherish my PSP 2019 32-bits. I noticed that I can't install any older versions, as that gives an error while installing. Although legitimate bought at Corel's I get the message that the serial number is incorrect. I made a list of plugins that stopped working in various versions and specifically from PSP 2021 onwards. It's in Dutch, but a bit of Google Translate will sort that out. It's pretty self-explanatory. The zip file with the 10 dll files used in Windows 7 are attached to this post. Attachments:10dlls_Windows7.zip (831.94 KB)
