A few times when I was creating text on a PSP23 layer an Add Text box appeared in the upper left of my workspace. I closed it and went on with what I was doing rather than be distracted. I would prefer to use this type of editor for working with text. I must've hit a key shortcut combination or an icon on the toolbar that caused that editor to pop up, but I don't know what. How can I get that text editing box back? If I search Help, all I get is info about the different text options, etc.. I don't see anything about a text editing box.

Hi Are you referring to the Text tool bar that allows us to choose fonts, bold, Italic etc From the Palettes options choose Tools Options, otherwise hit keyboard F4
I must admit the name Tools Options may be better as Text Options.

No, I know how to do all that using the Text tool. I am trying to open the Add Text box that pops up in the upper left corner of the workspace so I can type the text into it. That is how I added text in older versions of PSP.

Hold down the shift key while clicking on the text icon to get the text box.

Thanks, Kathy. Yes, that is what I was looking for but I cannot seem to do it with Shift+Text Tool Icon on the tool bar. I tried it on a Raster and on a Vector. Neither would do it. Is there another setting I missed? Maybe I just need more practice?

Linda, 1. Click on the Text icon (to activate it) 2. Hover the cursor on the image until you see the "T" cursor 3. Press down the Shift key and while down, click on the image. The Text Entry box will display.
