Being in the UK my program was installed to Pal standards.
Sometimes I do need to change those setting.
When I do Settings – Preferences and change the TV System from Pal to Ntsc that option appears to work, giving me a message.....
“Please restart Video Studio to make the change take effect.”
So I reboot the program to find the Pal settings have been set again.
I do not know if this works in reverse, changing from Ntsc to Pal.
Can anyone confirm this issue.

Sorry Trevor, although I am also in a PAL region, I always use NTSC standard, I can switch between the two when required and changes stay permanent until changed again

Hi Trevor,
Just to clarify, the system does not switch to NTSC after you select it and reboot the program? I tested on my machine and it works as expected.

Trevor, Like Robert, I'm in a PAL region, but unlike him, I use PAL in my projects: it's just a better base to work from. Don't have the "Never Twice the Same Colour" issues, an acronym which originated in the US (strange?). But that said, I can switch to NTSC, get the message to re-start, and when it did got the mobile phone preview window size, which could be changed back to 16:9 readily, and the NTSC preferences/settings/general tab setting for TV system had been retained. Reverting to PAL also worked, without the preview window being affected.

Thanks guys I guess it’s time to do a re-install, already ran a repair with no change, not that repair has ever helped in the past. There was a problem where Pal was not retained during installation, that was fixed with SP1, now with this problem assumed the fix did not go far enough.
I'II get back after completing the clean install.
Post updated After re-installing the program all is now working correctly.
